

Currently, the Association supports 4 teams. The Association works with the Dublin City School district to fund most of the costs associated with the hockey programs. There also seems to be the issue of an increasing amount of politics between the teachers and the school board. The Dublin High School Hockey Association is the booster organization put together to support and promote high school hockey in all Dublin schools. The only areas of improvement would be the over crowding which was of course a district level oversight in insufficient planning and foresight to accomodate the needs of an quickly rising student population count. The administration and leadership is college focused. The student body is diverse and very education focused. There are a multitude of clubs and extracurricular that is available to the kids. The sports programs are highly competitive and very developed with some of the best athletics in the region. The teachers academically are very motivated, highly prepared and knowledgeable in their areas and equally as important, are very kind and caring towards students for the most part. It has its pros and cons, and your experience truly revolves around the people around you both staff and student. I miss the good times I had at this school and it will forever hold a special place in my heart. The Dublin High School Athletic Boosters is an non-profit organization of athletes, parents, and school administrators together to promote positive community involvement supporting our Gaels’ athletics. Overall, this school has its pros and cons. Even with the staff being nice though, I feel as if they have a disconnect with students and their teaching styles can really make it hard for kids to learn. It really showed me how there are still kind people in this world and that people do appreciate your kindness. Athletic Directors realize there are fees involved when purchasing online tickets.

The Dublin high school athletic departments will be continuing a partnership with Hometown Ticketing for the 2021-2022 school year. I remember once i paid for a kids ice cream at our homecoming fair and the kid ended up being a child of a staff member who paid me back double what I had paid for her kid. Also the social scene at the school is up and down with some people talking of toxic people and drama while other people being kind, doing amazing things and never complaining about an issue. While the statistics make it look great many kids suffer from mental health problems because of the amount of stress put in students. This school was all around a pretty average school.
